First a few words about the development process: I use the conventional two-week sprint for planning the work to be done. Features are typically released as soon as they are done, so there may be several releases per sprint. I thought it would be nice to share what is going on, so there is now an integrated Dev Log and Release Notes panel for viewing the status of features and bugs.
The work on reimplementing Samurai Wars in the new and more flexible Battle Match engine is progressing well. In the current sprint, I added unit markers for all the units of Samurai Wars. Though fighters are not able to actually fight yet. But don’t worry, melee mechanics is planned for the sprint starting next week, which will focus on game mechanism (movement and combat) and also some gesture tweaks. If that goes well I hope to start working on the networking stuff in the sprint after that.
